          Pros

          • - Great Immersion
          • - Great Tech
          • - Surprise element

          Cons

          • - Higher difficulty puzzles

We visited the anticipated Omescape’s new location in Scarborough the first chance we had, and Virus Outbreak was the first escape game available at the time.  We had high expectations because we enjoyed all the games we played at their Markham location!  Virus Outbreak did not disappoint us indeed.  The immersion and tech has maintained a very high level.

As the brief intro on their website suggested, we started out in a room with a sewage system and already there were plenty of things to solve.  One thing I did realize though was one of the puzzle, which was fun, but was not something that I expected from Omescape’s usual styles.  Nevertheless, the rooms after the first were one surprise after the other. Puzzles were not easy, but they were creative and logical.  There was one exceptional element built in the game which was never seen anywhere else. It was truly an eye-opening experience.

The final puzzle gave the game a grand finale, our only complaint was the audio visual was a little bit lengthy. Overall, Virus Outbreak is a top-of-the-line choice for all escape enthusiasts. Even though the puzzles can be a little too challenging for newbies, I still recommend it for them because of the immersion and great tech.
