With Mysterious Study being one of our all-time favourites, we were super excited to be invited to play the remastered version. However, I was also a bit nervous. Going in with high expectations, would I find that this room now falls flat? Could it be that we enjoyed it back then because we were inexperienced?

Not surprisingly, most of the layout remained the same. This is fine – why change a good thing? What we really appreciated though was that all the puzzles were new, and were modernized accordingly. A couple of puzzles were made harder, while the rest were made easier, which is suitable for the difficulty rating of this room. And what everyone will appreciate is that there is very little reading required for this room, even less than its predecessor.

As a person who’s played Mysterious Study, I still enjoyed Project Sphere. Sure, there was less oohing and aahing this time around, but that’s to be expected. Compared to what’s available in the GTA right now, I’d still say this is a solid room that’s worth playing. And for someone who hasn’t played Mysterious Study before, it’ll be that much more enjoyable! What are you waiting for? Go play it!
