          Pros

          • - Great décor and props
          • - Puzzles related to theme

          Cons

          • - One prop showing major signs of wear and tear

The game takes place in a doctor’s office, and at that, it was nicely done. It even had a lightbox for viewing x-rays, which I’ve always secretly wanted to play with as a kid – bonus! There was one prop that was definitely showing signs of wear and tear and may need replacement soon, but otherwise, everything worked as it should.

The puzzles followed a logical order, and related back to the theme/story. There was some tech involved for one set of puzzles – it wasn’t overly complicated, and added a bit of fun to the game. We had to wait a couple of seconds each time we used it, but gamemaster Jeff had let us know about that before starting the game, so it wasn’t a huge problem. One of the puzzles was a bit confusing because of the steps leading up to it, but we eventually figured it out.

In terms of difficulty level, I would rate this as Intermediate. But don’t just go to Riddle Room for a room escape – make sure to stay for boardgames and coffee!
