Library Lockup

Library Lockup

          • - Some puzzles can be worked on simultaneously
          • - Can comfortably hold up to 8 people in the room

          • - Room more like a study rather than a library

It’s no secret that I love escape games. So when a couple of friends were here visiting from the States, I, being the good friend that I am, offered to take them to play a room escape. Along with three other local friends, we tackled Library Lockup, which is one of the more difficult rooms at AT Escape.

The room was a decent size and fit the six of us comfortably. At no point did we feel cramped, nor did it get stuffy, which is a problem that I’ve experienced at some other locations. The décor and equipment though, definitely had room for improvement. With one bookshelf and two tables, it felt more like a study than a library. I was rather disappointed with this, given that they did such a good job with immersion in their BioLab Extraction room.

In terms of puzzles, there was nothing super fancy; most of them involved figuring out the codes for the various combination locks in the room. But I guess it worked out for my group that night, since four of them have never played escape rooms before, so they didn’t need any extra distractions. It also would’ve been better if the room had a higher percentage of puzzles relevant to the theme.

Difficulty level-wise, I recommend this room to groups that have at least a couple of experienced players. And while you’re there, I’m sure that, like us, you’ll appreciate all the friendly and nice staff there.
